Dad is struggling, and we need you to pray that the Lord would be merciful to him and allow him to go gently home to Glory. Right now his breathing is labored....it sounds as if he has to clear his throat but can't. This afternoon he had a period of 'featherlight' breathing and was very peaceful. That is what we are asking you to pray right now. It is so hard to see him this way and not be able to tell if he is in pain or needs something else. There is no way mom will get any sleep tonight if his breathing continues the way that it is. We are trusting his care to the One who loves him most!
We are surely praying. Our hearts hurt for you all. We love you. Bob and Brenda

We sang this song at church tonight...And I've been praying it for Gene:
"And I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare
And there will be an end to these troubles....
Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me"
Praying you all feel God's peace tonight...

I have been meaning to type a message. I am Tammy's cousin Cynthia Eckenroth and I have been reading your updates and praying for you and your family. You don't know how much you have been an inspiration to me. I have been facing alot of trials and if you only knew how you made my trials so minimal compared to what you have been facing. I pray that all of you have peace and God gives you the strength to give Him glory through all this.

Praying for you all. God is able. We too walked this path with our parents. It is not an easy road but God prepares a way for us to grow and to learn so much more of His love as we have to depend on Him. Praying for your dad's homegoing! Love to all of you - Joe and Joy Burchill in Lancaser PA.

Hi Sharon and All,
Just read your message for the day. Does your Hospice use Levsin/Hyoscamine to decrease secretions? We use it here often. I sometimes use a swab to the back of the throat to remove secretions if possible and it sometimes prompts a person to cough and clear passages on their own. Turning side to side also sometimes helps if a patient can tolerate it. Call your Hospice nurse often if you want help.
God Bless you all. Much Love snd prayers. Sandy Cosner
